Audition Information for DMA Groups
Each fall, young people involved in Salvation Army churches across Texas can audition for our Divisional Music and Arts Groups (DMA). These groups rehearse monthly at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian, TX and participate in various Salvation Army events and tours each year. We offer the following groups:
BRASS BAND
Bluebonnet Brass • Novice Youth Band • Ages 7-14
Lonestar Brass • Intermediate Youth Band • Ages 11+
Texas Brass • Advanced Youth Band • Ages 14+
CREATIVE ARTS (dance/drama)
Lonestar Dance • Intermediate Dance Ensemble • Ages 11+
Lonestar Drama • Intermediate Drama Ensemble • Ages 11+
Texas Creative Arts • Advanced Creative Arts Ensemble • Ages 14+
NON-AUDITIONED GROUPS
Guitar Track • Beginner-Intermediate • Ages 11+
Visual Art Track • Beginner-Intermediate • Ages 11+
Worship Technology Track • Novice-Intermediate • Ages 11+
For the 2026-2027 DMA Season, video auditions are due by Thursday, September 3 at 11:59 PM. Click HERE for brass, percussion, and creative arts audition material. To upload audition videos from your Smartphone or computer, click HERE.
In addition to submitting an audition, we ask that all participants (including those in non-auditioned groups) fill out this PARTICIPANT INFORMATION FORM by September 3.
Audition videos will be reviewed and group rosters will be finalized prior to our first rehearsal on September 12, 2026. If you have any issues, please contact us and we will be glad to help.
