Sara Elliott was raised in Bartlesville, Ok. Through the sunbeam program she joined The Salvation Army at the age of seven. Sara began learning cornet and became heavily involved in music activities in the AOK Division. She then pursued an education and gained a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Illinois. In school Sara enjoyed performing with a variety of ensembles including the University Wind and Symphony Orchestras. After graduating she worked as the Area Music Director at the Richmond Citadel Corps in the NCV Division for two years. Sara now resides in Irving, TX where she works as a Deputy Divisional Music and Arts Director for the Texas Division. Her hobbies include walking in parks, reading, amateur painting, and spending time with friends. Her favorite scripture is Romans 8.
